9WISHES Hydra Ampule Toner Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by Oshen Skin.

I have a love affair with toners - I can’t seem to get enough of them and love testing new ones. One of my recent favorites is 9WISHES Hydra Ampule Toner. It combines the benefits of two separate steps - toner and ampoule - in one lovely product. The toner is available on Oshen Skin (use my code kbhobbit10 for extra savings). If you are not sure what all the kbeauty steps do and what an ampoule even is, then watch this video.

9WISHES Hydra Ampule Toner is 52% coconut water with added hyaluronic acid, baobab seed extract, fig and aloe. A full list of ingredients is provided at the end of the review. The toner promises to help prevent water loss, soothe inflammation, hydrate and restore the skin. The fruit extracts in the ingredients are rich in antioxidants.

How to use:

  • Apply after cleansing using hands or cotton pads (I use hands)

  • Gently pat in

  • Follow with the rest of your routine

For an extra boost of hydration, make a DIY mask by soaking cotton pads with the product and then leaving them on parched areas for about 10 minutes.

The toner has a thicker than water consistency (not as thick as Klairs Unscented) and is a pleasure to use. It’s not heavy or sticky - just very hydrating and nourishing. I do not notice a scent.

My impressions

I notice that people fall into two toner camps - those who like really thin/watery toners, and those who prefer thicker ones like the 9WISHES. I will happily use both kinds, sometimes in the same routine. Especially if the watery formula has exfoliating ingredients. I love starting out with something thin and slightly exfoliating, then following with a thicker hydrating option like this Hydra Ampule Toner. Or just using the thicker one right after cleansing, while the skin is still damp.

I have no shortage of toners, but keep reaching for this one. I love the texture and all the hydration this offers. While I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible, Summer is still a stressful time for my skin, so I like to pamper it a bit extra during the evening routine. 9WISHES gives me that pampered experience right in my bathroom.

The biggest difference I see is in my forehead lines. They are significantly less noticeable when I use this toner (all that plumping is paying off). If my skin is feeling especially parched, I apply an extra layer or two.

This was my first introduction to the 9WISHES brand, and it went really well. Stay tuned for more reviews.
