Benton Let's Carrot Moisture Cream Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by YesStyle.

Benton Let’s Carrot Moisture Cream promises to maintain the oil-moisture balance of the skin and support a healthy barrier function. It’s formulated with carotene, carrot extract, shea butter, plant oils and ceramides. A full list of ingredients is provided at the end of the review. The cream is available on YesStyle (use my reward code KBHOBBIT to save extra), Lookfantastic, and Amazon.

The texture is pretty thin / liquid, I would probably call this product a lotion or emulsion and not so much a cream. While the tube packaging works, I think it would be better in a pump bottle. There’s a very slight scent, barely noticeable.

How to use:

  • Apply evenly over the face and neck at the end of your routine

  • Pat in for best absorption

  • Follow with SPF if using in the morning

Despite having ceramides, plant oils, and shea butter in the ingredients list, this cream is not heavy at all. Someone with very dry skin may even find this not occlusive enough. It’s yet another reason to try the product (if possible) instead of judging the formula based on the ingredients list alone.

My impressions

I have combination skin with oily and dry-normal zones. For years, I avoided moisturizers because I thought they would make my oily zones worse. But now I appreciate a good cream for its ability to lock in hydration. When my skin is properly hydrated, it behaves more like normal skin vs combination skin, and the amount of excess oil is greatly reduced.

Benton Let’s Carrot Moisture Cream (that’s not really a cream) is pretty good. It’s not a holy grail for me - I usually don’t use moisturizers in the morning (SPF is enough for me), and at night I prefer something a bit richer. However, it’s not bad by any means, and I will continue using it until it’s out. If I had this in the Fall or Winter, I would likely use it in the mornings before sunscreen.

Have you used this cream? What did you think?
