I’m a huge fan of double cleansing - using an oil based product followed by a water based one. However, some nights it’s nice to have a quicker 2-in-1 option. Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Multi Cleansing Foaming Balm is a slightly acidic all-in-one cleanser with PHA and LHA. It promises to melt away sunscreen, makeup, and excess skin sebum without causing dryness. The balm is available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and StyleKorean.
How to use
Apply to dry skin and massage for 20-30 seconds
Add a small amount of water and later
Rinse and follow with the rest of your routine
Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Multi Cleansing Foaming Balm is quite thick but not necessarily creamy. It takes some effort to get it out of the container, but spreading it on the skin afterwards isn’t difficult. I notice a light, fresh scent that is gone as soon as I rinse the cleanser off.
My impressions
It’s definitely an interesting product and has its uses, but it wasn’t love at first use. Let’s start with the positives - the balm effectively removes sunscreen and makeup. I even tried it after going out, with more makeup than my typical minimalist look, and it did a great job washing off all of it. My combination skin isn’t dried out or irritated after.
The main thing I dislike about this Dr.Ceuracle balm is the packaging. Since the product is pretty thick, it takes too much effort to squeeze it out of the tube. It’s like attempting to get cold coconut oil out of a small opening… Once dispensed, the balm softens up, but it’s still more like spreading creamy soap on the face vs a true oil cleanser.
Overall, this would be great for travel as it’s effective but not liquid. I also reach for it on extra lazy evenings, especially if I only wore SPF that day and not makeup. But if I had to choose just one - double cleansing or a 2-in-1 foaming balm like Dr.Ceuracle - I would choose double cleansing. I prefer the sensation of a true balm or oil melting on the skin vs trying to spread this paste on. For all-in-one cleansers, I gravitate towards formulas that start out liquid, such as Axis-Y quinoa cleanser. Still, for a 2-in-1, Dr.Ceuracle is nice and effective.
