Dr Dang Dang Metatarsal Foot Cushion Pads Review - Air

I’ve had foot issues my whole life. I have flat feet and hypermobile joints, which contributes to a whole laundry list of symptoms from joint pain to strange workout injuries. I understand how to tackle most of it and live a “normal” life. However, when there’s a product that can help even further, I’m always interested.

One of my favorite ways to spend a Fall afternoon is to go for a long walk with a good podcast and a stroller (has anyone else noticed that even moody toddlers calm down when taken outdoors?). During the warmer months, I wear sneakers, but once it gets cold, I eventually have to switch to warmer footwear that doesn’t provide much in terms of shock absorption.

Dr Dang Dang makes a variety of foot products to improve comfort and support tired feet. Today’s review is for the Air variety of their foot cushion pads, available on Amazon. They promise to relieve pressure on the feet and provide great shock absorption. Another benefit is added height, but I’m already so tall that this is not a selling point for me.

My impressions

These are the most interesting cushion pads out of the three I tried. I also have the arch variety (review here) and circle comb (review here).

For me, the Air cushions do not fit into sneakers (too tall), but work well with winter boots. The added cushion makes walking comfortable, especially if you tend to walk on concrete sidewalks like I do. I wear mine over socks - these are reusable and can be hand washed in soapy water, then air dried.

The Air pads definitely distribute the weight differently vs not wearing foot cushions, which can be nice if your feet are tired from the day before but you still need to walk or stand on them. I would experiment with all three varieties to see which one feels the best to you.
