iUNIK is a popular brand, but I am just now getting to know their lineup. I liked the snail cream (review here), so decided to try a peeling gel next. iUNIK Lime Moisture Peeling Gel was sent to me as a gift and is available for purchase on* Jolse.
Peeling gels offer gentle but effective exfoliation. I try to exfoliate 1-2 times a week to improve skin texture, appearance, and allow all of my other skincare to work as well as it can. The iUNIK gel is made with five fruit extracts to soften the skin and prepare it for the next steps of skincare.

The gel is clear and has a mild, pleasant citrus scent. It smells like lime - something one may expect based on the product name.
My impressions
I am honestly so confused by this product. It works fine everywhere else except my jaw line. There, it clumps into tiny hard pieces and STICKS to my skin, hanging on for dear life. I cannot get it off! I seriously had to pull these off one by one with my fingernails (face wash didn’t get them loose). Wow. It’s due to the peach fuzz - other areas of my face have peach fuzz as well, but the peeling gel doesn’t stick there.
I tried the iUNIK Lime Moisture Peeling gel on my arms and legs (both freshly shaved and slightly stubbly) and it worked fine on them. I’m totally puzzled. I have attempted to use it on the face twice, had a horrible time with the jaw line both times, and gave up after that. I tried it on moist skin and on dry skin - same results. I even tried to only apply it to the t-zone, but it inevitably migrates down and sticks yet again.
I will use it on my arms and legs, because I hate wasting products, but I’m so sad. I really wanted to love it. Have you tried this peeling gel? Did you have the same struggles?
