How to use

KAHI Wrinkle Bounce Collagen Mist Ampoule

For me, mists go at the toner stage - either right after cleansing, or layered over another toner / ampoule. I then apply a serum and moisturizer. A lot of people seek out mists to add hydration throughout the day, but to me that seems counterproductive. Spraying what is mostly water (even if it’s glorified water with added fancy ingredients) and then allowing it to evaporate will likely cause transepidermal water loss and exacerbate the dryness (plus disturb SPF). And following up with moisturizer and SPF during the day doesn’t seem practical either.

My impressions

To be totally honest, I didn’t give this product a chance to do anything positive for my skin, because I cannot stand the smell. It feels like spraying straight up perfume on my face. I have to hold my breath during and right after application, but it still feels like a fragrant punch in the brain when I finally inhale.

The only good thing about the Kahi ampoule is how fine the mist is. It’s much better than most of the toner mists I’ve had and disperses in an even cloud of hydration.

While I normally use up unwanted mists on my body, this is hardly a cheap product and it felt strange to simply go through it by spraying it on my legs. Therefore, I passed it on to a friend who’s into heavily perfumed skincare. She already told me she loves the scent! This is a text I got from her, shared with permission: “The Kahi collagen mist is great. Really nice light scent. Very fine mist. Dries quickly on my face. I like it very much. I can see me using it every day”.

Just goes to show yet again that we are all different. Reviews are great, but they are nothing other than one person’s opinion.

I’m wildly disappointed in Kahi so far - their balm (review here) and the mist both ended up on my fails list. But that doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t be holy grails for someone else.
