Purito Centella Unscented Toner Review

A great toner is one of my favorite steps of a Korean beauty routine. It soothes and hydrates the skin, preparing it for the subsequent steps.

Purito Centella Green Level Calming Toner is one of my favorite kbeauty toners (review here), and I’ve never had a bad reaction to it, but some people have issues with fragranced products. Purito listened to consumer feedback and released the Purito Centella Unscented Toner. It’s sold on eBay, Amazon, YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT for extra savings), and Stylevana.

Purito Centella Unscented Toner is vegan, cruelty free, essential oil free, and made without alcohol and PEG. Purito’s motto is “Find Your Inner Green”, and they are working hard on making safe, vegan-friendly and cruelty free products.

How to use:

  • Apply to clean skin with hands or cotton discs/pads/balls

  • If you have very dry or dehydrated skin, you can apply the toner 2 to 4 times, patting it in to full absorption. You may also saturate thin cotton pads with it and apply to the face as a DIY face mask for an extra hydration boost

The unscented toner is pretty much exactly like the prior version, minus the essential oils. Madecassoside, asiaticoside, and centella asiatica soothe and calm breakouts and irritation. Panthenol further aids in skin restoration and healthy barrier support.

My impressions:

Great toner. The texture is slightly thicker than water, and applying the product feels really nice and soothing. It glides on the skin effortlessly. I usually stick with one layer, but someone with really dry skin can use several layers.

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry-to-normal everything else. While not specifically acne prone, I get red and irritated easily, so a soothing toner is a good addition to my routine. Like the original version, this one is working well for me. Sometimes, unscented products can have an unpleasant smell due to the natural features of the ingredients, but this one doesn’t smell like anything at all.

I think it will be a good addition to any routine for people with sensitive skin of all conditions (dry, combination, oily). If you have teenagers, then check out my video for teenage skincare and consider adding this toner to their arsenal.
