SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Cream Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by Plump Shop.

I’ve been loving SKIN1004 centella toner and ampoule (read my reviews by clicking #Skin1004 tag). My most recent product from the brand is SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Cream, available on Plump Shop (save 25% on everything from their September box with code lucy25), iHerb (code CWN6107), and and Amazon.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Cream contains soothing and nourishing ingredients such as centella asiatica, shea butter, panthenol, adenosine, and niacinamide. It promises to soothe the skin, protect it from pollution, and make it soft and dewy.

How to use:

  • Gently apply over the face and neck at the end of your routine

  • Pat in for best absorption

  • Follow with SPF in the morning

I typically cleanse, use toner and serums, and then seal everything in with moisturizers such as this cream in the evening. My morning routine is a lot shorter and simpler (usually just vitamin C and SPF, sometimes with a gel cream in between in the Fall / Winter).

Madagascar Centella Cream has a gel consistency and a beautiful earthy color. I do not notice a scent, but someone with a more sensitive nose may have a different experience.

My impressions

This cream came to me at the perfect time, because this is the season I start to use moisturizers in the morning. Looking at the texture, I thought this would work as a day cream for my combination skin. Unfortunately, not so much.

I find it very easy to apply and spread, but it stays just a bit sticky for a long time. I don’t mind a little stickiness at night, but I don’t tolerate that in my daytime products. So, I’ve been applying SKIN1004 Centella Cream at night, but it feels like it never totally dries down on me. It does by morning, but not during the 1-2 hours between my evening skincare and bedtime.

I find it very nourishing and soothing, so I can’t call this a failure in any way. It’s just not serving what I thought would be its purpose in my particular routine (morning moisturizer). I will still use it up as a nighttime product.

Perhaps someone with very dry skin will appreciate this more and find that it leaves their skin dewy as promised, and not tacky. I do like how it plumps up my fine lines and reduces minor redness and irritation.
