In addition to hyaluronic acid, the capsules contain a special moisture boosting complex to deliver maximum moisture to the skin. There’s also a patented derma-clock ingredient to help alleviate the effects of irregular sleep patterns (I’ll take two, thanks).
The gel is very thick, clear, and doesn’t have much of a scent, as far as I can tell. It’s vegan and cruelty free.
My impressions
This is one of the most interesting products I’ve tried this year. It definitely plumps up the skin and helps with the appearance of wrinkles. I have combination skin, and on me the finish is pretty tacky / sticky. I would use less of the product, but there’s no way to reseal the pod, so I do end up slathering everything all over my face and neck, then deal with the stickiness (at least that’s gone by morning).
I both love and hate the packaging. The box with the little capsules inside looks super cool, and the product photos were fun to take. However, I could get away with using just half or even less of each pod with good results, so it feels a bit wasteful to me. Yet they are so convenient for travel, especially since they replace most of the evening routine.
My proposed solution would be to make the pods smaller / more shallow to contain less product, but then include more of them in each box. Perhaps that’s too much to ask.
I still recommend trying The Lab Blanc Doux Oligo Hyaluronic Acid Midnight Serum Capsules, because they are so innovative, the results are good, and the user experience is a fun one.
