Etude House 98% Watermelon Soothing Gel Review

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

I have VERY dry skin on my body, especially hands and ankles, and it gets worse in the winter.

I have finished my second body gel, and my soul and inner hobbit demanded watermelons, so I ordered Etude House 98% Watermelon Soothing Gel.

A refreshing, hydrating watermelon gel is great for many uses - soothing tired skin, express under-eye mask (just soak thin cotton pads in gel), hydrating legs after shaving, preventing breakage to wet hair (just spread a bit on the hair from mid shafts to the ends). The manufacturer also recommends rubbing the gel into nails and cuticles to make them stronger.

I really enjoyed this gel. The scent is magical and brings me mentally straight into summer. It hydrates and soothes well, especially after shaving or waxing (even on the face). I alway wax my upper lip (myself), and since I have very fair skin, it immediately turns bright red and sometimes stays red even into the next day. But this gel calms it right away, doesn’t sting or burn, and the next day there is absolutely no redness at all. It has become part of my morning routine when it comes to my calves and ankles, since the skin there is so dry. Using a cream would make me stick to my jeans (yikes), but the gel is not sticky at all.

Pro tip - if you want a lighter coverage from your favorite bb cream, add a tiny

drop of the gel to it, mix in your palm, then apply to the face - works like magic every time!

The gel can be bought on* eBay or Amazon
