I love buying lip products. Do I love using them just as much? No. In 2026, I made it a goal to use what I have and to review it before buying more. Next up on the review list is Milk Touch Black Peel Off Lip Tattoo.
Lip tattoo category is having quite a popularity spike with brands like Sacheu dominating TikTok and even popping up on Ulta’s shelves. There’s a famous Russian saying that anything new is simply “well forgotten old”, and that’s the case with peel off lip tints. Does anyone else remember the once-upon-a-time viral Berrisom My Lip Tint?

These peel off lip tattoos come in several colors; mine is 01 Black Cherry. It looks very hot pink on me, the way pH activated lip tints tend to do. Next time I would probably opt for 04 Black Apricot (based on swatches). But then again, Black Cherry looked different in swatches than it does on my lips. All colors are available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Nordstrom.
How to use
Apply an even layer to lips
Wait 15 minutes
Slowly peel off, starting with edges
Once peeled off, I like to top off the lip with either a lip gloss or some kind of lip balm. Torriden’s lip serum is great for this. Milk Touch Peel Off lip doesn’t taste like anything and smells nice.

My impressions
I’m glad I tried this and scratched the FOMO itch, but I can’t say I’m overly impressed by the peel off lip tattoo as a category. Yes, the pigment is fairly long lasting, but it’s completely devoid of moisture and highlights every little dry patch by dying it a much brighter color than the rest of the lip. Milk Touch Black Peel Off Lip Tattoo doesn’t cause dryness or make it worse, but it definitely makes any existing spots more noticeable. Sacheu is onto something advertising their peel off tints as lip liners - that way, the main part of the lip won’t have uneven coloring.

As mentioned earlier, the hot pink isn’t my favorite either, but it may work differently / look better for you.
I prefer formulas that combine a creamy layer that eventually wears off and a longer lasting “left behind” tint. Rom&nd has several formulas like that. The tint doesn’t last as long and lacks the peel-off gimmick, but the wear experience is more pleasant and the dry spots aren’t accentuated. NYX Lip IV is my favorite lip makeup of all time, even though it’s not Korean.
If you love peel-off lip makeup, Milk Touch is well made and does the job. The entire category doesn’t seem to be for me.
