The Saem Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick Review

Oh the beauty of global economy - a Russian girl getting a Korean eye product made with mineral water from Iceland delivered to her doorstep in the USA.

I’m 28 and have combination skin with oily t-zone and dry-to-normal everything else. My eye area doesn’t have any major issues except for some fine lines that are trying to form. At night, I use thicker moisturizing creams (like this one), but during the day prefer something lighter, especially if I plan to wear eye makeup.

Enter The Saem Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick. I’m a sucker for cute packaging and originally almost bought the Tony Moly panda stick, but most of the reviews said it “does nothing”, so I abstained. But this little bear actually had good reviews, so I bought that instead (and am currently finishing my second stick of it). The Saem bear can be bought on eBay and Amazon.

This is an eye product in a “stick” (like a fat lip balm) form that cools and moisturizes. The product contains mineral water from the peak of Iceland’s oldest mountain that penetrates deeply into the skin, refreshing and hydrating the area. The Saem obtains this water by collecting it from the natural flow in an eco-friendly way. The manufacturer also promises brightening and cooling effects for tired eyes.

Active ingredients:

  • Iceland moss - calming and soothing

  • Iceland mineral water - hydrating

  • Xylitol - cooling

  • Niacinamide - whitening for an even skin tone

  • Adenosine - anti-aging and anti-wrinkle

How to use:

The stick can be applied to cleansed skin or over makeup if you are prone to dryness during the day. The packaging makes it easy and convenient to carry in a purse.

My impressions:

This eye stick is a good fit for my needs - it’s not greasy, smells great, and glides on easily. If you hold it to the skin for a few seconds and let it soften, you can apply the product without tugging on the delicate eye skin. It has a nice depuffing effect in the morning and doesn’t affect makeup application. I never felt the need to carry it around with me and reapply throughout the day, so I can't speak to that. Overall, it’s a nice, light hydrating/cooling/depuffing product for the daytime. The Saem bear can be bought on eBay and Amazon.
