Mamonde Petal Water Toner Rose Review

I love toners - most of the ones I’ve tried have been very good. It’s a fast, easy, and typically inexpensive way to hydrate the skin and prepare it for the subsequent steps of care. These adorable little Mamonde Petal Water Toners in Rose were sent to me by a friend as a gift. And they are so great! Available on eBay, Amazon and Cosmetic Love.

I’ve tried other Mamonde products (reviews here) and was impressed. This toner didn’t disappoint either. The main ingredient, damask rose water, is an intensive hydrating and soothing agent (plus, the scent is divine). This 100% USDA-certified organic component is made from roses that are hand picked in the months of May and June only.

Make sure you order the Rose Water Toner (the full size mentions 90.89% on the packaging). I see that American stores sell Mamonde Hydrating Beauty Water but the ingredients are much less impressive (water is the main ingredient there).

How to use:

  1. Apply to a clean face (I prefer to use my hands and gently pat in)

  2. You can use multiple layers for extra hydration

  3. Follow with the rest of your routine

My impressions:

I am very pleased with the toner. It’s a bit thicker than water but absorbs quickly and smells amazingly of natural roses, not artificial fragrances. I’ve been keeping the little bottles next to the bathtub to use before I apply sheet masks (best time for a sheet mask is while soaking in a hot bath). I would definitely buy a full version (if I didn’t already have a bathroom full of toners). Definitely check it out.
