I love interesting sheet masks, and this one is definitely interesting - instead of a water-like serum it’s saturated with thick white cream. And there’s A LOT of it - enough for the neck, chest, arms, probably even butt :) This mask is available on eBay and Facetory.
Collagen masks in general promise anti-aging effects in the form of increased elasticity and hydration, and this one is no exception.
Active ingredients:
Hydrolyzed collagen - one of the main building blocks of youthful looking skin, it plumps up fine lines and wrinkles to make them less visible.
Hyaluronic acid - HA (sodium hyaluronate) attracts and holds moisture better than any other natural or synthetic polymer. It’s not abrasive like exfoliant-type acids and is completely safe to use in the summer. It doesn’t increase skin’s photo sensitivity (sensitivity to light). In basic terms, hyaluronic acid attracts environmental moisture to the skin. Be sure to follow with lotion and/or cream to lock in that effect.
Olive oil - provides intense hydration
How to use:
Apply to clean skin after toner
Relax for 10-20 minutes
Remove and discard the mask, pat the remaining cream into the skin
Follow with the rest of your skincare
My impressions:
I enjoyed this mask. It adheres very well to the skin and feels nice because of the melting cream. It does seem to actually “melt” into the skin, and most of that thick creamy substance is absorbed. I suggest using it at night to get the full effect of the hydrating ingredients, plus it would be too heavy for my combination skin during the day (and who has time for masking in the morning? Someone who’s not me).
A huge selling point for me is that there’s no sticky residue after the mask is removed. The remaining cream absorbs very well and the skin is supple and hydrated but not sticky. There’s definitely a WOW factor - my face looks dewy and plumped up. This mask is available on eBay and Facetory.
