Fall is officially here (ok, ok, not by the US calendar, but I’m used to Fall starting September 1st in Russia). Either way, cooler weather means my skin is hungry for extra hydration. The Medius Cream Mask - Gold Sericin promises just that - to fill the skin with moisture. It came in one of my Facetory boxes but can also be purchased separately on their site. Active ingredients:
Sericin - stimulates collagen production for a youthful look
Meadowfoam Seed Oil - softens and moisturizes
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid - attracts environmental moisture to the skin and helps it retain the needed water
How to use:
Apply to a clean face after toner
Relax for 10-20 minutes
Remove, pat in any remaining essence/cream and follow with the rest of your routine, if desired.
My impressions:
I need more cream masks if they are all this good! The material is very soft, and to me second only to hydrogel. It adheres superbly well and is completely saturated in the rich essence/cream. The smell is pleasant and not overwhelming. The fit/size also worked well for my face shape.
I was pleased with the results. My skin felt instantly plumped, no trace of dryness (but also no oily or greasy spots, which is very important for my combination skin type). I didn’t even feel the need to apply cream right after - I think the meadowfoam seed oil does a great job sealing in the hydration. The effect of softer, glowier skin lasted a couple of days, which for me is quite good. You can read about other sheet masks I’ve tested here.
