Benton Fermentation Eye Cream Review

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

I’m always on the hunt for a good eye cream, especially to use in the daytime. At night, I’m less picky - the results are important, but the feel - not so much. But for day, it has to be light and not feel greasy. Thankfully, Korean beauty market has plenty of options, with new ones being constantly added.

Benton is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. So far, I haven’t tried anything of theirs that I didn’t like (you can read my Benton reviews here). One of their new products is Benton Fermentation Eye Cream, available on* eBay, Amazon, Cosmetic Love and YesStyle.

The cream uses bifida ferment lysate and galactomyces ferment filtrate to repair any damage. Fermented particles are smaller than non-fermented ones, which allows for better penetration into the layers of the skin. The cream also contains hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid (in the form of sodium hyaluronate), panthenol, ceramides, and macadamia oil.

How to use:

  • Apply to the orbital bone after cleansing

  • Gently pat in for better absorption

  • Can be used morning and night

My impressions:

This is a very pleasant, light but still nourishing eye cream. As with most eye products, it doesn’t take much to cover the needed area, so the tube should last for months (and the price point is quite nice). It absorbs quickly without any greasy or heavy feeling. I don’t usually wear much eye makeup, just mascara and maybe some eyeliner, and I’ve had zero negative effects on the longevity or the look of the makeup when using this cream in the morning. It plumps up the skin nicely and nourishes well. I can’t speak to its effects on more pronounced signs of aging, as I do not have those yet. My eye care is mostly preventative in nature. Overall, Benton hit the mark again.
