Aromatica 95% Organic Aloe Vera Gel Review

As a skincare blogger, I am constantly trying new things and rarely repeat products, even if I like them. Every once in a while, something makes such an impression that I get it again. Aromatica 95% Organic Aloe Vera Gel, available on Jolse, is one of those items.

As the name implies, this is an organic aloe gel that promises to soothe and moisturize the skin from head to toe. It’s clear, thick enough not to drip but still spreads easily, and doesn’t have a scent (as far as I can tell).

Aromatica 95% Organic Aloe Vera Gel

I first got into aloe gels when I needed a better conductor for microcurrent devices. At the time, NuFace was the most popular brand, but the gel that came in the kit was thick, hard to rinse off, and expensive. I’m not sure if anything changed with the formula since then, because I have moved on to other devices. But it’s what made me search for a better and cheaper gel.

I have tried many different ones in recent years but decided to go back to Aromatica.

How to use

Official instructions from the brand:

  • Use as a sleeping pack: blend well with Aromatica Facial Oil and apply evenly on the face before sleep.

  • Use as shaving cream: apply a proper amount evenly on the shaving area before and after.

  • Use as essence booster: at the stage between essence and cream, apply a proper amount on the face and massage for a while for better absorption.

The ways I use this product:

  • A leave-in hair treatment - apply to damp, clean hair from ear level to ends to help detangle and soften

  • A much cheaper (and easier to rinse off) gel for my microcurrent devices - my main reason for getting the gel

  • After-shave cooling for my legs

  • Potentially a soothing after-sun product. I say potentially here, because it’s been years since I’ve had any sunburn (thank you, Korean SPF creams and UPF clothing)

My impressions

This is as good as I remember! The gel comes in a tube or a larger pump bottle. For me, the bottle is part of the appeal, especially when using the product with devices. I love being able to dispense with one hand and keep the other hand gel-free to actually use the device (like Foreo bear, NuFace, etc).

As far as other suggested usages - I do that sometimes, but I wouldn’t be buying aloe gels if I didn’t need them for microcurrent.

I wouldn’t say the formula of Aromatica is superior to other gels, but the fact that it’s colorless, has no scent, and comes in a large (300ml) pump bottle makes it a winner for me.
