Cosrx Green Hero Calming Pad Review

I loooooove a good toner pad. There’s nothing quite like reaching into a pretty jar first thing in the morning and gently wiping away any remaining evening skincare, while hydrating the skin. Ahh. So I was super excited to get the Cosrx Green Hero Calming Pads in the recent by Sophie box

Cosrx Green Hero Calming Pad is available on* eBay, Amazon, YesStyle (save more with reward code KBHOBBIT), and Jolse. Please note - the brand has recently redesigned their packaging. You may still see the old package version in some listings. My jar features the new design.

These are soothing, hydrating, and refreshing toner pads that should work for all skin types. They are made with green tea, witch hazel, centella asiatica, and tea tree.

How to use:

  • Use at the toner step in the morning and / or at night

  • Gently wipe across the face and neck

  • Proceed with the rest of your skincare

These pads are cruelty free, vegan, and made without parabens. The twist top jar contains 70 embossed pads saturated in toner.

My impressions:

Toner pads are such a genius invention. The Cosrx Green Hero Calming Pads are currently my only toner pads, so I’ve been using them daily in the mornings. I have combination skin and usually don’t use cleansers in the morning *gasp*. A quick wipe with a toner pad gently removes any residual skincare from the night before and hydrates the skin. Then I’m ready for the next steps (most days it’s just serum and SPF, sometimes only SPF - never skip that).

I’m enjoying the Cosrx pads. They are a perfect size. Most kbeauty pads seem to come in either this size or a much larger one. I can see the advantages of each, but I also like that there are 70 of them in the box vs brands that make pads bigger but put only 30 in a jar. One pad is definitely enough for my face.

The scent is very faint and has citrus notes. I do notice the promised soothing effect. The hydration is also definitely there. I think these would work for all skin types, but especially for anyone prone to redness, irritation, or a poor oil-water balance. These go really well with the Cosrx enzyme powder wash capsules (review here).
