This toner can also be used for a DIY mask by soaking cotton pads with it and then applying to desired areas for 5 minutes. It has a thin, watery consistency and a mild scent that I barely notice.
My impressions
I’ve been using this Dr.Ceuracle toner on my scalp. If you are a part of the Instagram skincare community, you have probably noticed people’s love for The Ordinary glycolic solution as a scalp exfoliator. I bought that and wasn’t too impressed. Then I saw some dermatologists, specifically Dr Idriss, mention that BHA would be a better scalp exfoliator than just AHA like glycolic acid. Since Dr.Ceuracle Tea Tree Purifine 70 Toner was already hanging out on my bathroom counter, I decided to try that and fell in love.
I have an oily scalp and dry / normal hair. It’s perfectly fine to wash the scalp daily, but it gets annoying to dry / style the hair every time, so I prefer to wash every other day or every third if I can. Plus, I use henna which fades a bit with every wash, giving me yet another reason to try not to shampoo daily. Using Dr.Ceuracle on my scalp a couple of times a week has significantly improved the oil levels without causing dryness. My hair roots stay clean longer, even without dry shampoo. The pump style dispenser makes it easy to get the toner directly onto the skin.
I squirt it all over the scalp while the hair is dry, massage it in, wait 5-10 minutes while I wash my face, and then shampoo and condition as usual. It’s a very simple addition to my haircare routine that makes a big difference.
As far as a face toner, this is fine but not earth shattering. I do not exfoliate my skin too often, because I use retinoids regularly. Someone with very oily or congested skin will likely see a bigger benefit than I did. My skin is combination and is generally in good condition without major clogged pores or breakouts.
