How to use
Apply a small amount to hair, focusing on the ends
The brand doesn’t specify if the oil should be used on dry or wet hair; my guess is you could do either. I personally only apply it to clean, damp hair from about ear level to the ends. iUNIK hair oil doesn’t feel greasy or oily, more like a serum. It has a pleasant, floral-esque scent that doesn’t linger long past application.
I don’t buy the “repair damage” claim, very few products can do that (some of the pricey brands like Olaplex have bond repair technology). Sometimes the best repair mask is a haircut. However, prevention is important too. Healthy hair should have a good amount of slip to it, protecting it from tangling, snagging, and breaking. That’s the kind of thing I look for in a budget friendly leave-in product, and iUNIK does it well.
My impressions
Because my hair is fine and straight and my scalp is oily, I have to be careful with leave-in products. I don’t want anything to weigh down the strands or make them look greasy. This iUNIK hair oil does a great job keeping the hair tangle free and reducing friction without making it look dirty. The key is not to use too much - half a dime size amount is enough for my hair, which is a little past my collar bone.
Each application uses barely a full pump of product, so the 100ml bottle will last me forever. I’ve been using it for months and have not made much of a dent. A great choice for a price mindful consumer.
