Primers have somehow become a controversial topic. Some people love them, some say they are unnecessary and overhyped (I even see this from MUAs). I still enjoy a good primer, especially to control my oily t-zone. My favorite primers are matte, powdery-feeling silicone based ones - at least I think that’s what they are. Sometimes, I use a primer without base makeup and just top off with some powder. I enjoy smaller looking pores and oil control provided by a good primer.
My favorite, holy grail primer (touch in sol no poreblem) is either discontinued or on a huge shortage, so I had to try something else. Espoir Dewlike Jello Glowrizer caught my eye - how cute is that packaging?! I had to get it based on that. The primer is sold on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT) and Stylevana (code INF10KBH).

Espoir promises to moisturize the skin and create a perfect, glowy base for makeup. They even added some skin-loving ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, squalane, and rose peptides.
How to use
Apply before base makeup and after other skincare
I find brand instructions a bit confusing. YesStyle listing says to use the glowrizer after skincare but before sunscreen. I use it as a traditional primer, after the sunscreen fully dried down. You could try both ways and see what works best for your skin. If you are looking to reap the benefits of niacinamide and other ingredients, you may have more success using this before sunscreen. I wanted it as a makeup product and not skincare, so I do not particularly care if the goodies get past my sunscreen layer - they probably won’t.
My impressions
All the marketing promises of “glossy” skin had me concerned - I don’t mind a healthy glow, but I don’t particularly like looking shiny, greasy, or even “glass-like”. My oily teen years have scarred me for life and I mostly prefer a matte face with a bit of glow, but nothing more than that.

Espoir Dewlike Jello Glowrizer is wonderful. It’s very easy to apply, dries down quickly, and helps my base makeup go on evenly. I always finish my makeup with a bit of powder, focusing on the middle of the face. The cheeks and other areas are allowed to retain some of the glow. The Glowrizer isn’t drying at all and will likely work for all skin types. If you are sensitive to fragrance, definitely patch test - the primer has a noticeable (but pleasant) scent.
If you want to look like a wet, glistening mermaid, the Glowrizer is unlikely to provide that. But if you desire a good primer that helps with base makeup application while providing a bit of additional glow, you’ll probably love this. I definitely really enjoy this product, reach for it often, and already see a sizable dent in what’s left in the bottle. I adore the pump applicator and the see-through bottle - nothing is worse than suddenly running out of the product with 0 warning.
Espoir Dewlike Jello Glowrizer is most definitely worth a try.
