It’s finally Fall! Like most kids, I used to live for summer, especially since my birthday is at the end of July. Fall used to mean back to school, and then later back to university. But now that I'm an adult (at least age-wise), I realize that Fall is actually the best season. It’s finally cool enough to wear cozy long sleeves, take walks without sweating, and enjoy all things pumpkin, especially here in the US. And when you are a parent, back to school time could even be exciting.
Changing seasons also means some adjustments in my skincare regime. I have combination skin that can get dry with the cold outside air, and that dryness gets exacerbated once the indoor heat is on. In preparation for all of that, I am already introducing some richer products. One of them is I’m From Honey Serum.

It’s made with a special complex of honey, black bee propolis, royal jelly, bee venom, turmeric, bee pollen, and cinnamon. The serum promises to nourish, improve elasticity, brighten, and help with fine lines.
How to use:
Apply to clean skin after toner
Gently spread over the face
Finish with moisturizer (and SPF, if using in the morning)
The brand also recommends using this before makeup for a glowy look. I haven’t tried that personally.
I’m From Honey Serum has a thick gel-like texture. It could easily pass for a gel cream. The pump dispenser is perfect for this, because the formula isn’t liquid enough for a dropper. There’s a slight scent of honey that smells 100% like the real deal to me. I see fragrance in the ingredients, but the finished product scent is exactly like natural honey - it’s perfect.
The serum spreads easily and gets absorbed fairly quickly. Dry skin would probably drink it right up, but my combination skin does well too - there’s no sticky or heavy feeling after application. I finish with moisturizer as part of an evening routine. Sometimes, I will add watery essences between the toner and the I’m From serum for maximum hydration.
My impressions
This product is simply perfect for this time of year. I used to have I’m From Honey Glow Cream too (review here), and I think those products together would work wonders for dry folks, but would be too rich for my combination skin. However, using each one individually as part of a routine with other brands works great. And the I'm From Honey Mask is always a welcome addition to any of my routines (review here).
I adore the texture and the scent of the honey serum - it takes me right back to childhood and making tea with my mom and grandma. I still love a good cup of tea, no matter the season, because you can’t take Russia out of the girl no matter what.
Since introducing this serum, I’m noticing a few things - a softer, plumper skin, no more tight feeling in the mornings (that was starting to happen with the cooler air lately), and overall increased happiness from the application process. I’m giggling as I’m writing this, but honestly skincare is more than an exercise in cleansing and moisturizing for me - it’s an experience of relaxation, and the I’m From Honey Serum gives me unbridled joy. Everything from the glass bottle to the delicate scent make me look forward to using it. It’s an instant must have for me. I can confidently say that blogging became a part time job for me this year, and a lot of skincare products go through my hands, but this serum stands out. I will happily finish it and wouldn’t mind getting another bottle. And possibly a third…
