The serum (or I’ve also seen it referred to as an essence) comes in a glass dropper bottle. It has a pleasant but very strong scent. The texture is thick but not too thick for the dropper, and there is no stickiness.
My impressions
I’m not impressed at all. Back when I first started with kbeauty, a lot of people were into It’s Skin Power 10 line - they make a serum for every skin concern. I only had the syn-ake kind (which was a super buzz word ingredient back then, a synthetic version of snake venom meant to work similar to Botox) and liked it. However, this phyto collagen version is a let down. Maybe because it’s actually worse than the syn-ake one, or maybe because I’m pickier now.
The texture is great, there’s no stickiness. I love that the container is glass - that always adds an extra element of luxury for me. That’s the end for the positives.
The scent is pleasant but too strong, and it didn’t weaken until the last drop of the serum. I didn’t really notice any benefits to my skin. Of course, I take good care of it on a regular basis, so it’s not like it was very dehydrated or neglected. But I didn’t even notice a plumping effect. Aside from the glass bottle, the whole usage experience felt cheap, probably because of the overpowering smell.
It’s possible that someone who was only using a cleanser and moisturizer before this would notice some benefit, but for me It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Co Effector with Phyto Collagen was a flop.
