I love testing and reviewing sunscreens. Sun protection is the most important step of a skincare routine, both for vanity and health reasons. I have a small box of sunscreens patiently awaiting their turns, and this time I picked iUNIK Centella Daily Sunscreen. This chemical sunscreen offers SPF50+ PA++++ protection plus centella asiatica to soothe irritated skin. The formula is unscented and non-sticky - double win.

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone. I also have some irritation because I’ve been trying to increase my tretinoin frequency. iUNIK Centella Daily Sunscreen goes on effortlessly, dries down within a few minutes and doesn’t irritate my skin - even in the areas that may be slightly angry post-tret. I can’t say if it’s doing much as far as soothing, but I typically rely on other products for that (toners and serums in the evenings).

My impressions

I really like this sunscreen and reach for it daily! The finish is a little more dewy than I like - I prefer a matte face - but a bit of powder on top takes care of that. I regularly use iUNIK Centella Daily Sunscreen under makeup and don’t have any issues with peeling or wear time. It’s a great formula with no white cast, no detectable scent (remember that fragrance free and scent free are not the same), and no other issues. 

If I had to find one negative, it would be the tube material. It is made from the type of plastic that retains its shape even after the product is nearly gone. I prefer packaging that “deflates” as I use up the contents, so I don’t have to squeeze out so much air. It’s a small thing and hardly a deal breaker. 

If you want a fragrance free formula with no white cast, no stickiness, and no scent - look into this one. YesStyle sells a mini size as well, if you aren’t ready to commit to a full bottle.
