Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield Review

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

Hello, it’s me again with another new release review. If you’ve read my blog or watched my youtube channel, then you know that I’m a huge SPF fanatic (check out my SPF overview video here). Without proper sun protection, most of your other skincare efforts will go in vain.

Yes, I even apply SPF while being “safe at home” during quarantine, because most windows (including mine) do not protect against UVA rays. UVA rays wreak havoc on collagen production and contribute to visible skin aging.

I strongly prefer mineral sunscreens, but they have to still be lightweight and not leave a sticky gross white cast. Wishtrend must have been reading my mind, because they recently released Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield. It’s sold on Wishtrend, eBay, YesStyle, and hopefully soon on Amazon.

Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield highlights:

  • Physical filters

  • Hydrating

  • Gentle

  • Lightweight

  • Non-irritating

All-mineral is my preferred type of SPF, because it’s less likely to cause irritation.

My impressions:

This is a lovely sunscreen. It looks blue (because of azulene in the ingredients), but applies absolutely clear. You can see that on video here. It’s not sticky and behaves very well under makeup.

The finish is “satin” - not overly matte but not dewy either. It works very well for my combination skin without making it look dull or oily. The best of both worlds.

The scent is definitely noticeable, but not overwhelming. While I prefer unscented products, I like the aroma of Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield.

It’s been a pleasure to use. In fact, I tend to reach for Klairs over any of my other current SPF options, because of its completely clear color and amazing texture. I also love the high SPF 50+ and highest possible PA++++.

This has quickly become a #musthave product for me. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new sun protection solution.

Hi, Purito comfy water is a bit more mattifying. Wearing Klairs is like having nothing on the skin at all. It’s a little hard for me to choose just one (especially since I didn’t own them at the same time), but I think I’d choose Klairs.

Hello, I have a question. Between this klairs' sunscreen and the purito comfy water sunblock, which one is better in your opinion? Thanks!
