Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream Review

I think it’s safe to call Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream an iconic product. It’s been around for a few years and has quite a following. I was kind of late to the game, but I can see why it’s so popular. I like it so much that I included it in my Wishtrend Box - a custom collection of products I picked out just for my followers! It’s sold here and you can watch me talk about it here. Cream can be purchased by itself on Wishtrend (try the code LUCY15 for extra savings), YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT), Amazon, and iHerb (save with code CWN6107).

The cream includes calming ingredients such as centella asiatica and guaiazulene (a chamomile derivative) to soothe the skin and reduce redness. It can be used after shaving, sun exposure, or any time the skin needs a little soothing. Guaiazulene is what makes the product so blue.

How to use:

  • Apply at the end of your skincare in the evening

  • Can be used as a spot treatment or all over

  • People with very dry skin can start with a heavier moisturizer and finish with Klairs over the top

Midnight Blue Calming Cream has a pleasant, creamy texture and a non-sticky finish. I don’t notice a scent. It’s cruelty free and vegan.

My impressions

I love this cream (of course I do, or I wouldn’t include it in my Wishtrend box). For my combination skin, it’s enough of a moisturizer all by itself. I use it after hydrating steps like toners and serums, and don’t add any other creams.

My skin isn’t very sensitive, but it’s fair and gets red easily from anything like a little itch to being out in the sun too long. Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream gets rid of that redness overnight and makes my skin soft and smooth. I have the larger tube size, but a smaller jar is a good option to try first. I do love being able to squeeze it out vs mess with spatulas and jars.

If you haven’t tried this iconic product yet, I highly recommend it.
