A foaming cleanser used to be a necessary but unexciting part of my evening routine. But lately brands are making better and better formulas, and I’m actually looking forward to that part of my daily skincare. This gentle formula promises to cleanse and brighten the skin without causing dryness or irritation. While the marketing materials talk about brightening pearl extract, spirulina, and other skin-loving ingredients, I don’t expect any extra benefits from a cleanser. What I need is effective but gentle removal of makeup and sunscreen residue, and then I look for other benefits from the following leave-on steps.
How to use:
Mix a pea-sized amount with water in your palms, work into a foam
Gently massage over the face and neck
Rinse and follow with the rest of your skincare
I don’t wash my face in the mornings. In the evenings, I start with a cleansing oil and then use the KLAVUU cleanser as my second step.
My impressions
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and some dry areas. The KLAVUU cleanser has worked well for me. The lather is bouncy and pleasant; there’s no stripped feeling. The foam definitely has a scent to it, but it’s not strong and I happen to enjoy it.
I think KLAVUU Pearl Pearlsation Revitalizing Facial Cleansing Foam would work for any skin type, unless you have an individual sensitivity to one of the ingredients. A full list is provided at the end. And while I only cleanse in the evenings, if you are someone who likes to wash your face in the mornings, this should work just fine for that.
