Nothing is better than a wonderful moisturizer to lock in a skincare routine. My current favorite is Mary & May Idebenone Blackberry Intense Cream, available on Oshen Skin (use my code KBHOBBIT10 to save on your entire order).
I first heard about idebenone in skincare a couple of years ago, but never had it as a star ingredient in a product until now. Idebenone is a more powerful substitute for Coenzyme Q10 and has antioxidant properties to help improve the appearance of wrinkles / protect the skin from environmental damage. The cream also features 65% blackberry complex and ceramides to support a healthy skin barrier and moisture levels. A full ingredient list is available at the end of the article.
How to use:
Gently massage into the face and neck at the end of your routine
Can be used in the morning or evening (or both)
Follow with SPF in the morning
Mary & May Idebenone Blackberry Intense Cream has a silky texture and is moisturizing without being heavy or greasy. I have combination skin and choosing a moisturizer can be tricky - it has to nourish without causing congestion. There is no scent - the product is fragrance free, but that doesn’t always mean scent free.
My impressions
A while back I got a huge haul of Mary & May products - unboxing here - and choosing what to try first wasn’t easy. I went with the oil balm (review here), the two idebenone products. The cream didn’t disappoint! The texture especially makes every application a wonderful experience.
Mary & May Idebenone Blackberry cream makes my skin really plump and smooth. I use it in the evenings, but once it gets even colder as we head into winter, it might become my morning moisturizer.
I wake up with velvety-soft skin, no grease and no dryness. Improving the signs of aging is a long haul game against time, but a good skincare routine definitely helps. And it’s part of my self care too - a way to unwind and clear my mind at the end of the day. Mary & May has found its rightful place among my evening products.
