Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream Review

This post contains affiliate links. I won this product in a giveaway.

Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream promises to nourish the skin from inside out, making it look plump and hydrated. It’s formulated with a heap of beneficial ingredients (some of which are patented): hyaluronic acid, collagen, elastin, ceramide, peptides, niacinamide, and cholesterol to moisturize and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation. Most skincare enthusiasts are well aware that topical collagen does not penetrate the skin, but it can still have a positive effect as far as softening and moisturizing goes. The cream is available on Amazon.

How to use:

  • Apply at the end of your skincare routine

  • Spread over the face and neck, gently pat in

  • Follow with SPF in the AM

The cream comes in a twist-lid jar and has a rich consistency (but isn’t greasy at all). It has a nice, noticeable scent that doesn’t linger.

My impressions

I have mixed feelings about Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream. For me personally, it works quite well. It’s rich and dreamy (too heavy for my combination skin in the morning, but perfect for night), not sticky and such a pleasure to apply. My skin feels incredibly soft and smooth when I use this, both immediately after application and the next morning.

I got this cream a month ago and already ran out. The main reason is I kept using it not just on the face but on the hands as well - my skin completely freaked out when the weather became cold. The pinnacle of hand dryness was when opening my toddler’s cardboard advent calendar scraped chunks of skin off my thumb! Well hydrated and moisturized skin with a healthy barrier doesn’t do that! So, I pulled out all the stops and started using the richest face products on my hands, including this cream, and now they are back to normal. Under regular usage conditions, applying to just the face and neck, this would have lasted me several months, because each application doesn’t take much.

The reason I have mixed feelings about the formula is the fragrance and an overabundance of plant extracts. It’s fine for my skin, but sensitive types open themselves up to potential irritation. That’s really a shame, because the cream is fantastic - nourishing, luxurious, and a joy to use. The marketing makes me roll my eyes (which is often the case), because this product is “certified free from 15 toxic ingredients, making it safe even for sensitive skin.” Um. I’m not a cosmetic chemist, but if you want to cater to sensitive skin, then instead of fear mongering and greenwashing products, maybe just make them fragrance free…

With all of that said, I loved this and would happily use it again. It was easily one of my favorite creams of all time.
