SCINIC Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by Oshen Skin.

I have very fair, combination skin that is prone to freckles. I take sunscreen very seriously and use it daily, even when I don’t plan on leaving the house. Naturally, I tend to test lots of SPF products. For a complete SPF guide, visit this post in my Facebook group (must be a group member to view).

Today’s review is for SCINIC Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence. It was provided by Oshen Skin - watch the unboxing / swatch here - and is available on their website. Use my code KBHOBBIT10 to get an extra discount.

This is a newly reformulated product, so make sure that’s what you are buying. Some sites are still selling the older version. SCINIC Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence is a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF50+ PA++++, which was confirmed by testing. It uses chemical filters.

In addition to sun protection, the product promises to keep the skin hydrated and soothed and features ingredients like green tea and centella asiatica. I don’t look for any added benefits in sunscreen - good sun protection is enough for me - but I see these ingredients as an added bonus.

How to use:

  • Apply at the end of your skincare, before makeup (if using)

  • I like to start with a vitamin C product, let it absorb, and then follow with the SCINIC sunscreen

  • Don’t forget the area around the eyes, ears, neck, and chest

The essence has a fairly light and liquid consistency with a pleasant, barely noticeable scent. My skin soaks it up fairly quickly. I would describe the finish as natural - not overly matte but not shiny / dewy either. It works well by itself, under powder (what I typically do), or under foundation / bb cream.

My impressions

This is basically an instant holy grail for me. I love that it’s not sticky or greasy, has no white cast, and the mild scent doesn’t linger. It also doesn’t dry my skin out, even with reapplications.

I’ve had no irritation when using around the eyes. I work out often, so sweating happens, and even with that my eyes were totally fine. I know we are all different, but hopefully that means it would work this way for others as well.

If you are on the hunt for the next good sunscreen to try, definitely check this one out. I think it’s worth it (and the price is not bad, in my opinion).
