SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sleeping Pack Review

This is a sponsored post with affiliate links. All opinions are my own.

I first got interested in SKIN1004 because of their viral centella ampoule (review here) and toner (review here). Earlier in 2022, I scored a huge haul of some of their other products (watch the unboxing reel here) and have been slowly working my way through them. It’s been a great experience getting to know more of their offerings beyond the most famous ones.

SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sleeping Pack features soothing centella asiatica, multiple kinds of hyaluronic acid, and nano-sized ceramide to support a healthy skin barrier, provide long lasting moisture, and give a soft, glowing complexion. If the name “sleeping pack” is new to you, these are usually moisturizers dedicated to evening use. Think of them as a kbeauty alternative to Western night creams. SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sleeping Pack is available on the brand’s official website (save 16% with code KBEAUTYHOBBIT), their Amazon storefront, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), Olive Young, and Stylekorean.

How to use

  • Apply at the end of your evening routine

  • Gently spread over the face and neck

I also use this on the eye area with no problems on nights I don’t feel like reaching for a dedicated eye cream. Pro tip - store the sleeping pack in the fridge between uses for ultimate soothing and calming. This will feel especially great on hot summer days.

The sleeping pack has a light gel texture that feels refreshing and hydrating on the skin. I notice a very faint scent that’s hard to detect unless I’m specifically trying (and I do try to pay extra attention to these things, for review purposes). It spreads easily and my skin drinks it right up.

My impressions

It’s been way too long since I’ve had a dedicated sleeping pack, and I missed them. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry/normal cheeks. I’ve been acclimating to adapalene (a topical retinoid that can cause temporary irritation and dryness) and spending a lot of time outside, so my skin needs lots of love right now. SKIN1004 sleeping pack is a great ending to my evening routine - it's hydrating and soothing without being sticky or unpleasant. Most nights, I take my bath and do my evening skincare, then hang out working on my blog or socializing with my husband for a while before heading to bed. Therefore, I’m not a fan of having a sticky face through that whole process (especially since I wear glasses for computer work). SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sleeping Pack gets absorbed beautifully and feels great.

If my skin is extra parched, I do a modified version of slugging using the pack (I learned that from SKIN1004 instagram account). Traditional slugging involves sealing in your evening skincare with a petroleum-based product (like Vaseline). However, I find that unpleasant and greasy. Instead, I apply extra amounts of the hyalu-cica mask and let my skin take its time absorbing everything it needs. It works great, especially when my skin is struggling after taking walks outside in windy weather. Spot testing is always a great idea, but for me personally this mask is great even when the skin barrier is slightly irritated - it doesn’t sting or burn.
