T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream Review

This is a sponsored post with affiliate links. Product provided by Be Mused Korea.

T’else is on its way to becoming one of my favorite brands of 2022! I already reviewed their Kombucha Teatox Essence (read about it here), and today I want to talk about T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream. Both products are available on Be Mused Korea (save 15% on any full priced items with my code LUCY15).

T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream

Kombucha is a nutrient dense fermented ingredient that’s becoming popular in Korean skincare. It is also delicious as a drink, but please don’t eat your moisturizer. T’else Kombucha Teatox Cream is 60% kombucha plus other goodies like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and meadowfoam seed oil. It promises to moisturize, brighten, firm, nourish, and give the coveted “glass skin” to its users.

How to use

  • Apply to the face and neck at the end of your skincare routine

  • Gently pat / tap in for best absorption

  • Follow with SPF if using in the morning

T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream

A thicker layer can be applied to the face and / or the eye area to use as a sleeping mask.

The brand describes the texture as “buttery gel-like-cream” and that’s pretty accurate. When I hear the words “gel cream” by themselves, I picture something very light and potentially watery. But T’else cream is thicker and richer yet not greasy or suffocating. Meadowfoam seed oil is added to lock in moisture but doesn’t make the formula oily in any way. I’m very pleased with the texture and prefer it for evening skincare vs the lighter gel creams.

A full list of ingredients is provided at the end of the article. It’s worth noting that despite fragrant essential oils like tangerine and orange, the cream has no scent (at least to me).

My impressions

I love this!!! It’s a perfect middle ground between light gel creams and thick, potentially heavy balms. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. Lately, I’ve been using stronger retinoids, which sometimes doesn’t go exactly how it should, so I’ve had some peeling around the mouth and needed more nourishment than what a light gel could provide. Enter T’else Kombucha Teatox Cream!

T'else Kombucha line

I use this a lot. Maybe not every night, but at least four times a week. My favorite way is to start with a gentle massage using T’else’s essence, then apply the ampoule from the same line, and finish with the Kombucha cream. The moisturizer doesn’t absorb too quickly and gives me an opportunity to really take my time spreading it and massaging the skin, trying to relax the tense muscles. This would be great if you use a gua sha tool (Be Mused Korea sells a great one). And while I do love it as part of a T’else routine, it also works just fine with products from other brands. It’s always a good idea to experiment and see what your skin prefers.

The texture of this cream is unlike anything I’ve had before. It’s simply perfect and I’m obsessed with it. I want a bigger jar! The packaging itself is glass, by the way, which always adds a level of luxury to my skincare experience. Glass is not a must, but I love it.

By day, I’m a cost accountant currently dealing with budget planning, so the stress is through the roof. I look forward to the nightly ritual of skincare and choose my favorite products every night. After T’else Kombucha cream, my skin is plump and smooth but not greasy, so if I want to go write a review after the evening routine, I don’t have to worry about any unpleasant sensations on the face. If I decide to go to bed instead, I don’t stick to the pillow. Someone with dry skin (or even me in the winter) will probably love this for mornings as well.

Overall, this is amazing and I highly recommend it.
