The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer SPF28 PA++ Review

I’m not big into makeup. I like looking at it, I buy it, and then I don’t use it. Mostly it’s because I’m lazy, but also my skin typically behaves fairly well and I don’t feel the need to try and camouflage anything. I’ve always had shadows under my eyes because of how they are set (my kids have the same thing), but I’m noticing that in youtube videos they appear darker than in real life, so I finally decided to try some concealer.

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer comes in a few different colors and is available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Amazon, Stylevana (code INF10KBH), and Jolse. I have it in the color 01 Clear Beige for covering blemishes and Brightener for under-eye use. Each costs under $5, which is a fantastic deal.

The 01 Clear Beige version does a great job at camouflaging small imperfections like blemishes and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It stays put all day - doesn’t smudge and doesn’t slide around. I usually apply it right after sunscreen and top off with a bit of translucent powder. I avoid foundation if I can help it (see my prior point about being lazy). The coverage is medium to full.

The Brightener is a wonderful under-eye product. The key is not to use too much - I like the Robert Welsh method of only applying a dot or two in each corner of the eye (or under each corner), then blending everything out. This is quite different from the TikTok trend of slathering concealer like you are priming walls, but it works so well! I have no creasing / wrinkling or any other issues when using this. To me, it looks like healthy, rested skin. I see the effect without noticing the makeup - perfect.

Clear Beige (top) & Brigthener (bottom)

My best discovery is doing a dot of the brightener and a dot of the 01 Clear Beige under the eyes, then gently blending with fingers. This gives a wonderful brightening effect without the “overbaked” look of being too bright under the eyes. I’m trying to look like myself but more rested, not like an ad from a magazine. But if you want really bright eyes, then use just the brightener alone and maybe do more than a dot’s worth.

I’m not very experienced when it comes to concealers - I usually have something on hand for zits, but have never used anything under the eyes until now. However, these are so cheap and so good that I think I’ll just keep buying them instead of trying new products.
