TOCOBO Glow Ritual Lip Balm is supposed to have a syrupy texture for glossy, glass-like lips. It’s infused with olive and sunflower oils to nourish plus “formulated with finely milled diamond powder, ruby powder and sapphire powder to give the lips a shimmery finish”. Sounds fancy, doesn’t it? Plus, it’s vegan.
The lip balm comes in four colors. Mine is the lightest 001 Coral Water. It’s available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), StyleKorean, and Stylevana (code INF10KBH).

Could the difference between the marketing claims and real life experience be any more drastic? The TOCOBO lip balm is nothing special. It has 0 color payoff (at least on me) and is hard to apply because it doesn’t really melt. Diamond powder? Mmmm yeah ok… I don’t see even a tiny hint of shimmer when I use this. Syrupy texture? Also no.
In general, this is pretty joyless. Since lip balms aren't something I can pass on to friends, I will finish it off, but I won’t be getting this again. At least not in this color. It’s quite possible that the other, deeper colors look better. It’s not the worst lip balm I’ve ever had, but it definitely didn’t live up to the brand’s promises. The packaging and the product look cute, but sadly that doesn’t translate to how it looks on the lips.
