I love washing my face. I do it once a day, in the evening, and it’s the first step to unwinding, de-stressing, and getting ready for a hopefully relaxing night.
Treatis Bubble Foam Cleanser is a recent addition to my collection, but it’s fairly easy to tell if a cleanser is working or not. The cleanser promises to deeply clean, removing impurities, excess oil and makeup without irritating the skin. A full list of ingredients is provided at the end of the review. How to use:
Apply to moist skin
Gently massage
Rinse with lukewarm water
Those are the official instructions. I always start with an oil cleanser or cleansing balm, as for me that is the quickest (and most gentle) way to remove oil-soluble things like makeup or sunscreen. If you are using the foaming cleanser in your morning routine, a cleansing oil is not needed.
My impressions
A really nice, gentle foam with a light, pleasant scent. The brand calls this hypoallergenic, but that’s an unregulated term which every company defines for itself. Based on fragrance and grapefruit oil in the ingredients, I’d say that people with very sensitive skin should stay away. My combination skin has had no issues.
The foam is abundant and oh so soft. I really enjoy using this cleanser, and despite having SLS in the ingredients, it’s not stripping for my skin. Again, everyone is different. There are definitely more gentle products (ingredients-wise), but the formulation plays a huge role as well.
