Manyo Factory Pure Cleansing Oil Review

Updated: Aug 15, 2021

Update from August 2021: I recently had the pleasure to have another bottle of this cleansing oil. I'm happy to say that I like it just as much as the original. You can read the original review and see my old pictures below. Here is the new bottle with an updated label design:

If you’ve read the blog, you already know my love for cleansing oils. These magical gifts of Korean beauty can effectively remove dirt, makeup, sunscreen, and anything else that clogs pores and ruins selfies. Despite the “oil” in the name, these products emulsify when in contact with water, turn white and rinse clean without any greasy residue. The oil is available on Plump Shop (save 25% right now with my code lucy25), Amazon, and Olive Young.

My latest find is Manyo Factory Pure Cleansing Oil. So far, I haven’t met a Manyo Factory product I didn't like (read reviews here). This oil is no exception. It’s organic and contains no artificial ingredients. The oil promises to penetrate deeply into pores, dissolving and bringing any contaminants to the surface, while supporting the skin’s natural defensive barrier. It doesn’t simply cleanse but also nourishes the skin and even promises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It can be used to remove eye makeup without causing irritation to the delicate area.

How to use:

  • Apply with clean, dry hands to dry face

  • Massage the oil into the skin in the following order: cheeks, nose, forehead, chin

  • Get your hands wet and massage the face again, emulsifying the oil

  • Use a cleansing foam to wash off the remaining oil

  • Rinse the face well with warm water and then cool water to tighten pores

The company suggests using just the oil, without a foaming cleanser, for a gentle start to your day.

My impressions:

Another win from Manyo Factory. The oil is quite thick (I like that, runny oils annoy me) and feels pleasant during a face massage. At first “sniff” it smells citrusy, but during the cleansing process I definitely pick up tea tree notes. It does a great job at removing makeup and even eye makeup - no raccoon eyes here. I haven’t had any irritation. I’m definitely a bit lazy and if I don’t have to use a separate makeup remover for the eyes, then I’m happy.

Overall, it’s a great product. I love that it’s natural and gentle. The bottle is large and should last me for quite some time, so I like that the oil is good for a full 12 months after opening.
