I love cleansing oils and balms! Is it strictly necessary to double cleanse? Probably not. There are so many great one step cleansers these days. But for me, starting with a good oil or a balm is the most gentle and effective way to wash away sunscreen and makeup. It’s the first step to unwinding at the end of the day.
I recently finished Numbuzin No. 1 Easy Peasy Cleansing Oil, available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), Olive Young (code KBHOBBIT77), and iHerb (code CWN6107). It promises to remove even waterproof makeup while minimizing irritation.

Massage over dry face

Follow with a foaming cleanser
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry / normal everything else. I don’t always wear makeup, but I always use sunscreen and double cleanse at night.
My impressions
This would have been a good cleanser if it didn’t irritate my eyes. My eyes aren't necessarily sensitive - most of the time, I have no issues with oils, foams, sunscreen, etc. But something in Numbuzin No 1 made my eyes burn every time I used it! The feeling didn’t last long, only during face washing and for a few seconds after, but it was still unpleasant. For a while, I blamed this reaction on my eye makeup, but it happened even if I wasn’t wearing any eye makeup at all. Once I ran out of Numbuzin and opened a different cleansing oil (while using the same eye makeup), the irritation stopped.
Other than the unpleasant eye sensations, the oil did a good job removing makeup and sunscreen. If you have no sensitivities to the ingredients, you will probably love it.
