I love gifts! What’s better than opening a present to discover that perfect item you’ve been wanting? After a few disappointing occasions, I decided that the only way to ensure a perfect gifting experience is to be both the giver and the receiver. Somehow, I always know exactly what the right present to myself would be!
If you are in the same situation, I highly suggest giving yourself an item that you will actually use every single night. I have been enjoying the Sleep&Glow Omnia pillow for years, and it has become one my must haves - I will never give it up.

74% of us are side sleepers, myself included. Smooshing the skin for hours at night causes more than just temporary sleep lines - it can lead to permanent wrinkles. Omnia’s unique shape is designed to relieve pressure on the face during sleep, reducing the number and depth of sleep wrinkles. For me, this is a great added bonus, but the main reason I stuck with the pillow for so long is the superb support for the neck and shoulders. Hypermobile folks will understand this deeply, but everyone else can also benefit. After years of use, mine is still going strong, which is pretty impressive for a pillow that gets used every night (except for travel). I used to replace my old pillows every 6-12 months, because they lost all shape and became flat, sad little pancakes with no support.
I already own and love many of the Sleep&Glow pillowcases; when they introduced the new Omnia Calming pillowcase, I was excited to add it to my collection. I already knew I loved the pillow. This was a chance to give an old favorite a little upgrade. All of Sleep&Glow items are available on their website (discount code KB10).

The Calming pillowcase is made specifically for the Omnia’s unusual shape - it fits into the side-sleeping cradles without the bunching and shifting you can get with a regular pillowcase. It is made from tencel and incorporates microencapsulated tea tree oil that is designed to be gradually released through contact while you sleep. If you are sensitive to scents, don’t worry - the pillow case doesn’t smell like anything.

I like being able to switch my Sleep&Glow pillow cases depending on what I want from my nighttime routine. The Calming version feels like a particularly nice addition for those nights when I want my bedroom to feel a little more relaxing and intentional, which brings me back to the idea of buying yourself presents.
There is a tendency to treat things like nice bedding, a good pillow, or anything else that makes everyday life more comfortable as something you should only buy when you absolutely need it. But I use my pillow every single night. If something is going to be part of my life that often, I want it to be an item I genuinely enjoy using. As I get older, sleep becomes harder and harder to get, both because of kids and stress. Anything that makes it easier to fall asleep, stay asleep, or wake up in less pain is worth the money for me. If something happened to my pillow, I would reorder it immediately, with my own hard earned cash.
The Omnia was an experiment for me years ago, a switch from regular pillows, and the fact that I am still using it all this time later says a lot more than any first impression could. The Calming pillowcase feels like the same idea in a smaller package. It is a little luxury, but it is also something practical that becomes part of my everyday routine. It’s wonderfully soft, comfortable, and beautiful.

Sometimes, the best presents are the ones you give yourself and then get to enjoy over and over again.
For me, this was a very easy addition to a pillow I already know I love. And if you want to be extra nice to yourself, add the Sleep&Glow’s weighted blanket. It’s absolutely lovely and another sleep must have for me. I have a more detailed review of the weighted blanket and other best sellers here.
If you have been curious about the Omnia but have been putting it off, here is your sign to spoil yourself. And don’t forget to save some money with my code KB10.
