A few years ago I fell down the fragrance rabbit hole. And because I don’t really do anything halfway, I learned fast… and bought way too many perfumes. To get my spending under control, I put myself on a much-needed fragrance no-buy that lasted over a year. So what finally broke it?

It started with a sample (that’s how they get you) tucked into a Sephora order. I loved it instantly - but I already had more perfume than any one person needs, so I resisted.
And then… three years passed. I still wanted it.

How to use
Apply any time you want a dose of cozy perfection. It smells like “sleeping in your birthday suit”, inspired by naked skin.
My impressions
The official fragrance description puts Rosie into the “warm and spicy” category, but I disagree. It’s not “spicy”. It’s cozy, comfortable, and elevated. The scent is noticeable but not intrusive. I love it. If I didn’t know rose was part of the equation, I would not have identified it.
My original sample was a dabber bottle, which allowed me to fully appreciate the beautiful, slightly oily texture of the juice. By Rosie Jane Eau de parful blends organic sugar cane alcohol with pure perfume oil, and perhaps that’s why it feels slightly thicker and richer than other perfumes. Now that I’m using a full size bottle with a traditional sprayer, I no longer feel the texture on the skin. I think this formula would have worked lovely as a rollerball.
If I had to pick only five perfumes to use for the rest of my life, Rosie would make the list. Actually, it would have even made the top 3. Yes, I like it that much. It’s very long lasting but not “in your face” strong. Sometimes, I smell it on my pajamas even after washing them (my laundry detergent is unscented). All of this longevity while still being perfectly unintrusive, gentle, and mild enough to wear to bed. I cannot think of a more perfect signature scent / daily perfume. It may not be wild enough to be a statement scent for a gala, but it’s perfect for my normal life. If you’ve never had the pleasure of testing Rosie, please go smell a sampler somewhere. Wear it. Sleep in it. It’s the best.
