I’m not a huge makeup person - partially because I’m always sleepy and short on time in the morning, and partially because I’m not very good at applying it. I’m super happy when I find something that’s very easy to use and looks great. One of those products is Canmake Lip & Cheek Gel SPF24 PA+. It comes in several colors; mine is 06 Dark Plum Sugar. I got it on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), but it’s also available on Amazon.
This is a gel formula (it feels creamy on the fingers but has a beautiful translucent look) that can be applied with fingertips. Because of the color and how pale I am, it’s a bit too intense for my cheeks, but looks awesome on the lips. It’s not super long lasting but doesn’t make a big mess of mugs or masks, so it’s a win in my book. A few dabs tint the lips the way a cherry sucker would, and I love that “slightly better than real life” look.
I wouldn’t rely on the SPF here, at least not the way I apply it - in a very thin layer. If you plan to be out in the sun, definitely use a dedicated lip SPF first (I like this one). Perhaps SPF24 in the Canmake gel will help cover some of the skipped areas.
At first, I wasn’t too excited about this gel, but it quickly turned into one of my favorite easy lip tints. It’s not drying at all and doesn’t draw attention to lip imperfections. I would still prefer for it to come in a tube of some sort, but it’s not a deal breaker.
