Snail is what originally got me into kbeauty. I kept seeing it mentioned as a new and wild ingredient, and of course I got curious. Testing, photographing, and reviewing skincare has been a major part of my life for over 6 years, and I credit it with a lot more than just glowing skin. In many instances, it has saved my sanity as I navigated global and personal turmoil.
CosRx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is one of my all time favorite snail products; I almost always have an open bottle in my rotation. After seeing COSRX Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence, I had to try that too. The key ingredients are 74.3% triple snail complex and 5% niacinamide.

I like to use this in the evenings after toning and before moisturizer. Sometimes, I add a serum (after essence, before cream), but not always.
The texture is very similar to the power essence - somewhat stretchy, gel-like, and overall wonderful. My combination skin drinks it right up.
My impressions
I’ve been reviewing a lot of mediocre products lately, as well as some downright fails, so it’s nice to finally have a real winner. I fully expected to like this, because I adore the power essence. I wasn’t wrong! The dual essence is everything the original was plus even more nourishing and soothing.
My morning routines are dreadfully boring - a toner pad, vitamin C, and sunscreen - I reserve most of the fun things like this essence for evenings. It plumps and soothes my skin without causing congestion in the oilier zones like my nose and chin. I wake up with a noticeably refreshed face.
One small note - when opening the Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence for the first time, fight the temptation to tear into the perforated plastic all the way down the side of the bottle. Doing that will completely remove the outer layer with the printed logo and product name. My guess is this is done for better recycling, but if you remove it before the first use, you’ll be left with a very naked looking container. Don’t be like me hehe. I’m glad I at least took pictures before I did that…
Overall, another win from CosRx. Just as good if not better than the original advanced essence, with the added bonus of a bit of skintertainment of pumping out and mixing two different products.
