COSRX Pure Fit Cica Cleanser Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by CosRx.

Cleansing used to be a chore, a necessary evil that served one purpose only - to get the grime of the day off my face. But now, especially in the last two years or so, brands keep releasing wonderful, gentle cleansers, and I actually enjoy the process of face washing. It became a relaxing nightly ritual to end the work-filled part of my day.

One of my favorite foaming cleansers of 2021/2022 is CosRx Pure Fit Cica Cleanser, available on Amazon (sold by the brand), YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), Wishtrend (code LUCY15), Jolse, iHerb (code CWN6107), and StyleKorean.

COSRX Pure Fit Cica Cleanser

This is a mild cleansing formula with rich but gentle foam that promises clean, balanced, supple skin. It is vegan and cruelty free.

How to use

  • Gently massage over damp skin

  • Rinse with water

  • Follow with the rest of your routine

If using at night, start with an oil cleanser or a cleansing balm to break up sunscreen, then follow with CosRx. The cleanser has a creamy consistency and a white color; I do not notice a scent at all.

My impressions

I’m surprised why more people aren’t talking about this product - it’s amazing. The low pH one gets all the fame and buzz, but I prefer the CosRx Pure Fit Cica Cleanser - it’s way more gentle and should work for most skin types. The CosRx Low pH Good Morning Gel cleanser can be drying if used daily, even my husband who has oily skin and is generally fine using an all-in-one wash for hair, body, and face complained about it. The Pure Fit Cica is gentle even if used daily, forms lovely fluffy foam that’s not drying, and is overall fantastic.

I do not wash my face in the mornings, only at night, so I use this foaming cleanser as my second step (after a cleansing oil or balm). It leaves my skin soft and clean without being squeaky or irritated. I have combination skin so it’s a delicate dance of cleansing well without stressing out the dry areas. While I don’t mind and even enjoy a good fragrance, especially in a wash off product, I also appreciate that this wash doesn’t smell like anything - it’s my go-to if I compromised the skin barrier or if someone is asking for a sensitive skin friendly cleanser recommendation. Of course, we are all different, so please patch test if you have reactive skin, and review the ingredients list provided at the end for any known personal sensitivities.

Definitely a win in my book.
