Dr.Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Lip Balm is a lightweight but effective lip treatment with 170,000pppm Vegan Moisture Complex. It promises soft and cared for lips without stickiness. This vegan balm contains olive based squalane to support a healthy moisture barrier, shea butter to nourish, and ceramide NP to moisturize. It’s available on Oshen Skin (use my code KBHOBBIT10 to save on all full priced items).

How to use

  • Apply as needed to the lips or other dry areas

The balm is soft enough to spread easily but not so soft that it would break. It provides a light layer of protection and nourishment and feels like my lips but better. I do not notice a scent or any color - just a very subtle healthy glow (or maybe sheen?) when used.

My impressions

At first, I wasn’t sure I liked this lip balm because I kept comparing it to lip sleeping masks. But this is a completely different product with a different purpose. I love a good lip sleeping mask, but I don’t always want the goopy glossy look or feel of it, especially during the day. Dr.Ceuralce lip balm is lighter but still beneficial and works well under lip tints or by itself. It gives a much needed boost to dry lips but doesn’t leave marks on mugs and people (there’s probably some residue left, but it’s nothing close to what a sleeping mask would do). My favorite way to use this is to apply it before any other skincare in the morning to allow it to absorb a bit, do my morning routine, and then go in with a lip tint or lipstick for a smooth, soft feeling without interfering with lip makeup.

This can also be used on other dry areas (especially useful when traveling and trying to pack light) like cuticles, under eye area, etc. I’m currently nursing a split lip back to health, and keeping the area from drying out and cracking is essential. I reach for my Dr.Ceuracle balm often during the day and I like that I don’t need to use my fingers to apply it (vs sleeping masks). This really wasn’t meant to be a chapstick vs sleeping mask comparison, but it turned into one.

Overall, it’s a great light product to keep in your purse or on the bathroom counter and use as needed. I prefer it to richer lip balms for daytime use, especially under makeup.
