I have fine, thin, straight hair that’s dry-to-normal along the shaft and oily at the roots. Basically, my hair is nothing like I want it to be - I would love a thick, curly mane. Oh well… Like many of us, I go through cycles of chopping it off, growing it out, then cutting it again. I’m currently in the growing out stage (again), so taking extra care of the tresses to make sure they grow without breaking is a priority.
I got Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Coating Hair Muscle Treatment Rinse after seeing Dr. Dray speak positively about it in one of her videos. I already love the other Cer-100 product I tried (review here), so this one sounded like a no brainer. The treatment is available on Jolse and in their eBay shop.
This deep conditioning treatment contains ceramides, collagen, and various seed extracts (quinoa, linseed, chia, lentil, sunflower) to nourish the hair and protect it from breakage. A full list of ingredients is provided at the end of the review. The bottle is huge - 500ml - and will last me for months and months.
How to use:
Apply to clean, damp hair
Leave on for 5-10 minutes
Rinse
Style as usual
The treatment is a white conditioner-like substance with a pleasant smell. It’s very easy to apply and rinse. I only use this starting at the ear level and down, because it would be too nourishing for my oily scalp. Someone with dry hair throughout may be able to apply it to the entire length.
My impressions
Another win from Elizavecca. I think people with over-processed, damaged, or dry hair would especially appreciate what this can do for them.
My hair is soft, tangle-free, and shiny (not greasy) after using the treatment. It’s very easy to brush and style. The softness lasts for a couple of days after application, even if I shampoo in between. The scent does linger into the next morning, but not after that. I really like the way this smells, so I don’t mind that it lasts a little bit after application.
I would caution against using protein treatments too often, as sometimes they can make the hair brittle. I stick to about once a week with great results. I wish I had this when my hair was longer and needed even more care. I’m a little surprised I don’t see more people rave about Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Coating Hair Muscle Treatment Rinse - it’s a great product.
