Etude House Lash Perm Fix Mascara Review

One could say I’m a minimalist when it comes to decorative makeup, but mascara is a must. I typically buy tubing mascaras that slide off with just water, but this time I decided to order Etude House Lash Perm Fix Mascara. It’s sold on* eBay, Amazon, YesStyle (use reward code KBHOBBIT for extra savings), and Jolse. It comes in several colors, but I got black. Somehow, I completely missed that it’s waterproof.

The first time I used it ended up being quite entertaining. I wore the mascara all day with no issues, then did my usual evening routine of double cleansing (cleansing oil, then foaming cleanser). Got out of the tub just to see that the mascara looked exactly like it did after I applied it in the morning. Not a single piece of it came off! To make matters worse, I didn’t even own a special eye makeup remover at the time. Whoops. My cleansing water didn’t work either. Long story short, I now own a special waterproof makeup remover and have no issues taking this off.

Anyway, back to the mascara. It’s amazing. The applicator is the right size and shape for my liking. It curls the lashes slightly, but the main thing for me is that it doesn’t cause eye fatigue. The reason I gave up on waterproof mascaras years ago was that all of them made my eyes so tired and irritated. With Etude House lash Perm Fix Mascara, I don’t feel anything on my eyes at all. No fatigue, no irritation, just nice and long lashes.

It lasts all day (or more than one day, if you don’t have proper removers) without smudging or flaking. I’ve worn it in the rain and snow and it held up without issues. It’s great and very affordable. You can see what it looks like on me in “real life” in this video.
