I love discovering new kbeauty products - there’s always something exciting coming out, which is how I've been able to stay engaged with the blog for over 6 years now. I’m never bored. When a friend suggested I try Etude Nymph Aura Volumer, of course I agreed.
The product promises an “ethereal glow”, and who wouldn’t want that? Sign me up. The only thing glowing on me most days is my anxiety. The Volumer is available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana (code INF10KBH), and at Ulta.

How to use
Add to foundation, then apply the mix as you would foundation
For max radiance, tap directly into the skin over desired areas

I tried the Nymph Aura Volumer two different ways - mixed with my favorite light coverage foundation and by itself on select areas of the face (mostly on the cheekbones).

My impressions
I do not hate the Volumer, but it’s not for me. I was expecting something shimmery, iridescent, and beautiful - similar to the finish on the packaging. Unfortunately, all this does is make my skin look a bit wet / like I put Vaseline on it. The texture is lighter than petroleum based ointments, but the look is almost identical. While some of the Volumer sinks in or dries down, most of it doesn’t and I can still feel it if I touch my face.

I prefer my skin fairly matte, although a bit of highlighter glow can be nice. ETUDE Nymph Aura Volumer makes my skin look oily. Some people enjoy the “glass skin” shine, but it’s not my preferred finish. When mixed with light coverage foundation, it dilutes the product too much, eliminating all coverage, and makes my whole face look like a well buttered pancake. Maybe it would work better with full coverage, matte complexion makeup, but I do not own any of those to test the theory.
In an attempt to reduce waste, I offered this product to a friend who enjoys a healthy glow and has skin that’s more dry than mine. She said the product never dried down on her face either, and made her skin feel wet.

The only other idea I have is to use this as a perfume topper. Well moisturized skin can hold
onto scents longer, and sometimes adding a thin occlusive layer after fragrance can help with longevity as well. Interestingly enough, if I apply the Volumer to my arms or hands, it has no issues sinking into the skin.
Someone with very dry skin may enjoy this, but I will not be repurchasing.
