Buying lip products and using them are two separate hobbies, but I’ve been trying to do better and use what I have. There is nothing worse than using a lip stain or gloss just to see pigment settle into every dry patch.

If I remember, I apply some ointment to the lips before doing any makeup, then wipe off the excess and use lipstick or gloss at the very end. However, this requires me to remember to start everything with the ointment to allow it some time to sink in, which doesn’t always happen. Then, there’s the issue of some lip tints rolling off the leftover moisture barrier, depositing very little color and making a mess.

Enter Fwee One Minute Ready Lip Serum. It’s a lip prep featuring squalane, collagen, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid. The serum plumps the lips and hides dryness without using any irritants. It is available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Ulta.

How to use

  • Apply to the lips before makeup

Fwee serum is very easy to use and sinks in almost instantly. It perfectly preps the lips for anything - lipstick, lip gloss, oil, etc - without being greasy or sticky. I’ve used it under traditional bullet lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, NYX Lip IV, Wonderskin lip stains, and so much more.

My impressions

This is my favorite prep before applying any lip makeup. I don’t know what magic is in this, but Fwee One Minute Ready Lip Serum plumps and smoothes the lips without making them too greasy or slippery to apply lipsticks, lipstains and so on. If I don’t plan on lip makeup, I still reach for more traditional balms (bonus if they have SPF), but Fwee is a must for a good lippie.

I have another lip primer - The Saem Soft Blurring Primer - but it doesn’t work with lip stains. They simply slide off. Fwee works for everything. I love the soft, fuzzy doe foot applicator - so easy to stay within the lip lines.

Overall, this is wonderful and I will definitely repurchase it when my tube runs out. It’s hard to tell how much is left, because the container is opaque, but the applicator shows no signs of being dry yet.
