I’m From Honey Lip Balm Review

This post contains affiliate links. Product provided by Wishtrend.

I’m From honey line has some of my all time favorite products - the honey wash off mask (review here) and the honey serum (review here). When the I’m From Honey Lip Balm came out, I resisted getting it for some time, but eventually gave in. My curiosity won.

The product contains 10% honey from Mount Jiri in Korea and promises to moisturize and protect sensitive skin with a non-sticky, non-greasy finish. The balm is available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Stylevana, Wishtrend (code LUCY15), Soko Glam, and iHerb (code CWN6107).

How to use

  • Apply throughout the day or overnight as needed

  • Can be used on lips, cuticles, elbows and anywhere else in need of some care

I’m From Honey Lip Balm

I’m From Honey Lip Balm comes in a glass jar with a twist off lid. It has a very faint honey scent from the natural ingredients (no artificial fragrance).

My impressions

There’s no better place to test products made for dry skin than Colorado, so I took this balm on our annual trip. It didn’t disappoint. I learned quickly last year that Colorado air + Fall = dry, chapped lips, hands, and everything else. I used the balm mostly on my and my son’s lips to prevent issues before any cracking and chapping started, and it worked. I like the smooth texture that’s not heavy or sticky, and no added colors or fragrances is a plus, especially when it comes to using things on kids. I’m not anti fragrance or color, but sometimes those don’t jive well with sensitive skin.

The only thing that would make this better as an on-the-go product would be different packaging. Aesthetically, I like glass jars, but from the practical standpoint a squeeze tube would have been better. I don’t love sticking fingers into products while out and about. That’s not much of an issue now that we are back home - I mostly use this as an evening / overnight product. But to argue with myself, which is always a fun exercise, perhaps the balm is too thick to work in a tube packaging.

This isn’t earth shattering, but it’s a good lip mask and might be a fantastic option for people who are sensitive to artificial fragrance, since a lot of the other formulas I’ve tried were scented and / or had added colors. I’ll keep using it until I’m out and wouldn’t mind getting it again in the future.
