I love wash off masks and would happily use them daily. I usually have a couple in my rotation to target different skin concerns. One of the current ones is Klavuu Special Care Pearl Glow Mask. The mask is made with domestically harvested Korean pearls, fig, hyaluronic acid, various plant oils, shea butter, and other skin-loving ingredients. A full list is provided at the end of the review. The pearl extract promises to brighten the skin, bentonite and kaolin are known for absorbing impurities and temporarily improving the appearance of pores, while the natural oils nourish and soften the skin.
How to use:
Apply to the face after cleansing and toning
Enjoy for 10-20 minutes
Rinse with water
Follow with the rest of your routine
Klavuu Special Care Pearl Glow Mask is technically a clay mask, but I wouldn’t be able to tell that without reading the ingredients, because the texture is so creamy. It’s more nourishing than purifying in nature. I typically mention not letting clay masks dry on your face, as that can pull moisture from the skin, but that’s not a concern with Klavuu - it stays nice and creamy the entire 20 minutes. I use mine while bathing, so the steam probably helps everything stay soft and moist as well.
My impressions
What a lovely mask, in every sense of the world. The beautiful glow makes me reach for this jar as often as I can (usually 2-3 times a week!). Klavuu Special Care Pearl Glow Mask is very easy to apply and has a gentle, non-intrusive scent. It stays soft and pleasant the entire application and rinses off without any issues.
My combination skin is immediately nourished and smoothed. The pores do look slightly better, but this isn’t my go-to pore mask. Instead, the main benefit here is nourishment. It’s a great addition to my routine, especially when my skin is feeling dry or tired. I think it would work for all skin types, because the mask isn’t heavy or oily. I used it again last night, and even this morning my cheeks feel extra smooth.
