I love trying new lip products and the world of kbeauty keeps me well stocked with tons of options. Most recently, Mediheal Labocare line caught my eye. I settled on Mediheal Labocare Pantenolips Healbalm and Healessence in the color Coral. Both are available on Jolse.
The balm is a more intensive, colorless treatment that promises to nourish dry, chapped lips. The essence is a lighter formula that comes in a clear or coral version. Both the balm and the essence feature panthenol.
How to use
Apply any time extra nourishment and hydration are needed
The squeeze tubes have a slanted tip for comfortable, easy application. I don’t notice a taste or much of a scent.
My impressions
I love both of these! I use the Healbalm as an overnight treatment or to prep for makeup. If using as makeup prep, I slather it on at the very beginning of my routine. By the time I’m ready for lip color, everything is plump and moisturized. I love the squeeze tube that doesn't require me to dip my fingers into the product.
The essence looks a lot more colorful coming out of the tube than it does on the lips. I can barely see color payoff, maybe a tiny bit of pink. I even did a little poll on my IG stories and got similar responses - it’s barely noticeable. Perfect for a “no makeup makeup” look, but I would have preferred something a bit more opaque / color saturated. Still, that is not a deal breaker. I enjoy the glossy finish and hydration that doesn’t settle into dry patches.
If Mediheal ever releases more colors of the essence, I’d definitely try it. And I would happily get the healbalm again as well.
